How to Make a Coffee-Themed Kitchen

Who doesn't love a good, solid cup of coffee? Whether you take it black or with a dash of cream and sugar, coffee is both the fuel we need to get us through the day, as well as a nice relaxing beverage enjoyed in the comfort of your own home or a coffee shop.

Kitchens can be one of the hardest rooms to decorate in the home. However, once you've chosen a theme, decorating gets considerably easier! A coffee theme is just perfect—a solid, unified theme that's unique to the kitchen. Here's a little step by step guide to decorating your perfect coffee themed kitchen!

Essentials of a Coffee Themed Kitchen:

Coffee Maker

Obviously, in a coffee themed kitchen, you're going to need a quality coffee maker! There are so many different coffee brewing styles and machines that could be the right dit for you depending on your needs.

If you're in a household with high coffee consumption, consider a classic drip coffee maker or a percolator.

If you're constantly on the go and need a quick cup, a Keurig is perfect (don't forget about a reusable K-cup!)

If you simply enjoy making a solid cup of coffee—try a French press, Chemex, or pour-over.

Mugs

Mugs are perfect pieces of decor for your coffee themed kitchen because they are a practical form of decoration! A solid mug can show off your personality and sense of humor, contributing to the overall lightheartedness of the space.

Browse your local thrift shops to try and find a perfect mug. Otherwise, there are websites online which will allow you to design your own.

Decor

You can't have a coffee themed kitchen without the decor, otherwise, it's just a normal kitchen!

This is where the fun part begins: going through the browsing, buying, and decorating process for your space.

Here are some of our favorite ideas:

Coffee Rug

A rug is a perfect addition to the kitchen—people typically only consider the walls, but a coffee kitchen rug would be a unique way to decorate your space. Place it by an island or other area where you stand often.

Burlap Sacks

Coffee beans famously are shipped in burlap (a thick, tough, natural fabric) sacks. Buy a few of these bags and fill them with straw or packing peanuts and place them on countertops and above the cabinets.

Wallpaper

Wallpaper is the ultimate way to cover your walls and really establish that coffee theme.

We here at Limitless Walls carry a variety of coffee-themed wallpapers that would be perfect for your kitchen! Here are a few of our favorites.
